What we're looking for:
- Significant Landscape (hardscapes and softscapes) and/or Civil Construction knowledge and practical working experience.
- Experience across all areas of Project Management – WHS, budgeting, programming, client relations, procurement etc.
- Strong leadership skills to be able to lead and mentor your teams.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with your team as well as our sub-contractors.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to ensure quality is maintained on-site.
- Working knowledge of WHS and ability to follow (and effectively communicate to site teams) TDL policies, plans, and procedures.

Project Administrator
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and experienced Project Administrator to join our Construction team.

The key responsibilities:
- Procurement for our Construction projects including placing purchase orders and negotiating best prices with our Suppliers/Sub-Contractors.
- Scheduling of trades.
- Supplier and Sub-Contractor management.
- Preparing variation costs in conjunction with the Construction Supervisor.
- Reconciliation of Provisional Sums.
- Processing invoices.
What we are looking for:
- Strong attention to detail with outstanding problem solving and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers, sub-contractors, and clients.
- An understanding of project scheduling (MS Project).
- Technologically savvy working across a variety of IT systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Landscape Foreman
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced landscaping foreman to join our award-winning Residential D&C team.

Contact UsYou will oversee and direct operations on -site across a range of projects, working under a TDL Supervisor. This includes ordering materials, communicating regularly with clients, and ensuring the landscaping team on-site are tasked up for the week. There will be elements of subcontractor management as well. You will provide feedback to the Supervisor on progress, roadblocks and capture any defects and variation requirements. Whilst working alongside the team, you will upskill and mentor staff whilst ensuring WHS compliance is met.
You are responsible for ensuring projects are completed to the quality standards expected at TDL and issues are dealt with as they arise. Your technical landscaping knowledge will be required to support team members in more complex tasks. High attention to detail is critical.
What we’re looking for:
- Qualified / At least 5 years of Landscape Construction experience including hardscapes, irrigation and softscapes.
- Excellent leadership skills, with experience leading direct reports as well as a regular sub-contractor base.
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret plans and specifications.
- Highly organised and accountable to follow through on commitments internally and to our clients.
- Ability to plan, schedule and implement projects ensuring projects are completed in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements as well as meeting the TDL standards.

To be successful, you’ll need to be a positive team player with a ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll be completing a range of general landscape maintenance tasks including but not limited to:
- Turf maintenance (cylinder, rotary and ride-on mowing)
- Gardening duties (pruning, hedging, weeding etc.)
- Pest & disease control
- Fertiliser application
- Irrigation maintenance
- Softscape upgrades
Prior experience or qualifications such as Certificate’s in Horticulture and MR licences will be favourably looked upon. However, we are able to offer traineeships and further training and support to those looking to enter the industry. These roles pay above award rates and uniforms are provided.

Work Experience
We offer seasonal work experience opportunities to some students during school holidays, fill out an application and tell us why you would be a good candidate. TDL work experience is an opportunity to make money and explore your interest in landscaping before making a commitment to it as your future career.
School based traineeships
If you are still at school, you can access an apprenticeship through your school. Talk to your school's VET Co-ordinator or career councillor about starting your training through VET in Schools. A training plan will be developed through a registered training organisation (such as a TAFE), and will need to be authorised by you, your school, and a guardian if you are under 18. As an SBAT you would be required to work a minimum average of 7.5 hours of paid work per week, averaged over six months. Your training may be completed while at school, or after you have finished.
Traineeships – 12 months
We offer apprenticeships or traineeships to school-leavers. If you are no longer at school, you can apply for an apprenticeship or traineeship and get paid while you learn and work. Spend time working and learning practical skills on the job and undertake structured training with a registered training provider.
