TDL delivered the landscape design and construction for the revitalised Laneway precinct at Claremont Quarter, helping transform the space into a vibrant hospitality and dining destination. Working within an active retail environment, the project required careful coordination and staged installation to ensure minimal disruption to surrounding businesses while achieving a high-quality landscape outcome. The design introduced a series of integrated planters and layered planting to soften the built environment, enhance pedestrian experience and create a relaxed, contemporary setting that supports the laneway’s role as a social gathering space.
TDL’s scope of works included the installation of custom planters, soil profiles, planting, mulch, drainage and irrigation systems to support long-term plant health within the constrained urban setting. Careful plant selection and soil preparation were essential to establishing resilient greenery capable of thriving within the laneway microclimate. The result is a cohesive landscape that introduces texture, shade and visual softness, complementing the surrounding hospitality venues and reinforcing the precinct’s identity as a welcoming and lively community hub.
