The TL Robertson Library is the cultural heart of Curtin University, serving as the most visited space on campus. As part of its refurbishment, the landscaping works were designed to enhance the library’s role as a vibrant community hub, fostering interaction and study in dynamic outdoor environments. A new forecourt and external study spaces to the north provide welcoming, functional areas that support the library’s focus on connection and collaboration.
TDL was responsible for the landscape construction, delivering key elements such as planting, paving, retaining walls, irrigation, and turf installation. Additional works included the installation of bike racks, bins, bubblers, and gravel finishes, along with waterproofing and rock pitching. The new outdoor terrace on Level 4 further expands study opportunities, offering a secure and nature-rich setting for students to engage and collaborate in an inspiring
outdoor space.
