Landscape Design Project – Dalkeith

This Design concept strips back an existing garden to reveal a home with simple modern lines but also its own character. We wanted to create functional outdoor spaces that better complimented the architecture and breath life into a tired exterior.
The front entry garden consists of a curved entry path that balances the angular nature of the façade, further softened with layered textured planting. An adjustment of internal ground levels create a large functional alfresco space underneath an operable louvred pergola which connects directly to the new pool area. The pool has been designed with a wet edge flush with the surrounding pavements and features a cantilevered daybed. To add to the resort like feel of the proposed outdoor area we have suggested a Mediterranean inspired planting palette which makes you feel like you”re on vacation every time you step outside
