Landscape Design Project – Kensington

A wholistic approach to a new backyard. We proposed an contemporary styled enclosed alfresco addition to the rear of this classic home. This area is spacious enough to house a pool table, outdoor kitchen, dining area, a lounge space adjacent the pool and also includes a shower, toilet and garden storage. Large stacking doors allow the space to become completely open and part of the greater garden. The drop in level of the lawn creates a long casual bench seat along the edge of the alfresco space and a planted trench between the lawn area and large concrete pool creates a seamless transition between zones with no requirement for a physical pool fence. A layered backdrop of simple planting completes this timeless entertainers back garden.
